A pastor took the sponsors on a community walk through a neighborhood where many children live. This particular slum is called "Sal si puedes," or "See if you can get out" because most families can never afford to leave. The homes are very close together, as this photo shows.

A woman and her daugher enjoy a breeze. It is quite common for Dominicans to stay outside and spend time with others in their community, rather than stay indoors.
